Review paper

How to write a review paper?

Review papers are usually intended to be brief descriptions of literary works, movies, plays, or other works of art. They are intended to give reader an idea about the subject of review and provide recommendations about further acquaintance with the matter of discussion.

Writer should first introduce subject of review and inform reader about the basics such as author of a book/movie/play, its type, setting, its place in the world culture. Then you should lead the discussion to the plot, stopping at its main points. This is possible to provide some information on the quality of writing/directing/acting.

Conclusion should contain your judgment about worthiness of discussed product. What reader of your review should expect to get from reading the discussed book/article, from viewing the discussed movie or play? Whom would you recommend further acquaintance with the subject of review? Why? Remember to provide proper reasoning to your judgment. Review should not be based solely on you taste and you should be an independent critic of discussed work.
